Dr. Mariel Fernandez is the founder of Veteran Consultation Services and a Doctorally prepared Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family/General Medicine and Psychiatry. With over 12 years of experience, she serves as a Medical Disability C&P Examiner, VA claims consultant, and expert in Medical Opinions and Nexus Letters.
Dr. Fernandez works with Veterans from all branches and eras of service, with specialized expertise in Vietnam Era (Agent Orange/Blue Water Navy), Gulf War, and Southwest Asia (Afghanistan/Iraq) Veterans. She is certified in C&P evaluations, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), deployment-related environmental exposures, and PACT Act–related conditions.
